【タイトル】日中難訳語についての考察

【発表者】入江沢竜（関西大学外国語教育研究科）

【要旨】

日中学習者は学習や実践の際に語学環境や文化背景などの影響により、難訳パターン由来の誤訳が多発しているのが現状である。それらの発生しやすい難訳パターンや難訳語を品詞ごとに分類し、名詞、動詞、形容詞、数量詞、同音異義語な

どに発生する難訳要因を考察する。そして、発生要因に即した訳語を提案することにより、難訳による誤訳を回避し、難訳パターンのスムーズな訳出に役立てたい。本考察は日中学習者への注意喚起や日中通訳者を目指す方々への問題提起に繋がることを期待する。

【タイトル】パラテクストの視点から見た中国と韓国時代劇の日本語字幕における注の使用と比較

【発表者】鄭雁天（神戸大学国際文化学研究科博士後期課程）

【要旨】

視聴覚翻訳では、時間・空間などの制約があるため、通常注の使用は難しいと考えられ、特にその主流形態の１つである字幕翻訳では、注を付け加えるどころか、元発話の削除、凝縮、改変といった方法が頻繁に用いられる。とはいえ、作品に

よっては注が多用されるものも実は存在し、更に、注を字幕翻訳における1つの大きな要素として認め、通常の字幕翻訳と区別して用語解説付字幕を推進すると思われる試みがなされている。その内、時代の差異やジャンルの特殊性などがゆ

えに、注の必要性が高くなると見られる時代劇が典型的な例として挙げられよう。本稿では、注がパラテクスト要素の1つであるという立場にあり、Genette（1997）によるパラテクストの5つ（spatial・temporal・substantial・pragmatic・

functional）の特性の視点から、中・韓時代劇の日本語字幕における注の使用がどうなっているのかを考察および比較し、またそれらの注の使用がどのような要因と関わっているのかを探ってみたい。

プレ・カンファレンス講義についてのお知らせ

■昨年度に引き続きまして、年次大会前日に「知の継承プロジェクト」と題して、「プレ・カンファレンス講義」を本年度も開催致します。特に今年度は京都での開催ですので、ご参加希望の方々は早めにお申し込みのうえ、（遠方からお越しの方々は）ホテルの確保をお願い致します。

この「知の継承プロジェクト」は、若い会員の皆様に、体系的な通訳研究・翻訳研究の全体像を学ぶ機会を提供し、かつ、研究経験の豊富な会員の皆様にも積極的に参加頂き、議論を盛り上げて頂きつつ、これまで日本で培ってきた通訳研究・翻訳研究の知の体系を若手研究者に継承して頂く、という趣旨です。大学院生の皆様だけでなく、一般の会員の皆様も奮ってご参加ください。

　「翻訳はほめられるか？―翻訳批評の限界と文芸翻訳における翻訳者の倫理」

　【要旨】

　　文芸翻訳実務者の視点からTranslation Studiesと翻訳批評の関係について考察する。翻訳研究の枠内で翻訳を肯定的に批評することは可能なのかを、実際の翻訳作業をまじえながら、テキストに即して検討し、さらに文芸翻訳における翻訳者の倫理の問題に焦点をあてて、翻訳を利用した文芸批評の潜在的可能性を論じる。

　２）三ツ木道夫会員（同志社大学教授）

　「1920年代ドイツの翻訳論―なぜ翻訳は可能なのか―」

　【要旨】

　　翻訳思想の変転を歴史的に眺めた場合、結局のところ、唯一絶対の翻訳方法など存在せず、翻訳者はみなそれぞれが置かれた歴史的な環境の中で何らかの方法を選び取ったのだろうという考えに辿り着きます。かつて原理的に翻訳は不可能だと推論しながらも、翻訳活動そのものは称揚し、そこに文化的な意味を求めた思想家もいました。これはいわば翻訳の可能性を真剣に考察した挙句に横道に逸れていった人たちですが、それとは違って翻訳の可能性を徹底して掘り下げた思想家・翻訳者が1920年代ドイツに現れます。今回はＷ．ベンヤミンをはじめとする３人のユダヤ系思想家を紹介します。

　３）竹田純郎先生（金城学院大学名誉教授、PH・D（独・テュービンゲン））

　「翻訳という技法」

　【要旨】

　　翻訳とは、ギリシア的にいえば、ものを作る技法である。例えば、日本人の聖書学者が体得した技を駆使して、「ヨハネ福音書」を解釈し、その邦訳を作るという。

　だがその学者でさえ、翻訳の困難から逃れられない、否そもそも翻訳には理解と誤解を伴うことを弁えざるをえない。だとすれば、翻訳は常に繰り返されるべき実験的試みであり、翻訳の技法はその試みの方途であると言える。なぜそうなのか、を考えてみる。

※ 今回は招聘講師として竹田純郎先生をお招きします。文学修士（東北大学）ドイツ・チュービンゲン大学哲学博士。金沢大学や立教大学文学部で助教授を務められ、金城学院大学教授就任。2014年定年退任、名誉教授。ドイツ哲学書の翻訳書も多く手がけられているドイツ解釈哲学の泰斗で、シュライアーマッハー、ディルタイ、ハイデガーなどの話もかなり突っ込んでして頂けるかと思いますし、クリスチャンとして聖書翻訳についてもいろいろとお話頂けるかと思います。

【演　題】Ethics in the Translation/Interpreting Curriculum and Profession

(翻訳／通訳カリキュラム及び職業的翻訳／通訳における倫理)

【要旨】

Translator and interpreter education has traditionally sidestepped the issue of ethics. At most, students are made aware of existing professional codes of ethics, which generally focus on the relationship between the translator and the client and stress the need for impartiality and fidelity. But translators and would be translators need to adopt a more reflective and critical stance towards the tasks in which they engage; they have a responsibility towards participants other

than the client who pays their fees, and indeed towards society at large.

 Postgraduate education in particular must encourage translation and interpreting students to reflect on their own positioning and must prepare them for some of the ethical dilemmas they are likely to encounter in the real world. The presentation will elaborate on this argument and will focus on how ethics may be incorporated into the curriculum and how students may be encouraged to reflect on ethical questions in their own work and in the work of other translators and interpreters.

近年デジタルネットワーク環境を利用した自主参加型のノンプロフェッショナル翻訳（Non-Professional Translation = NPT）現象が翻訳研究の対象として頻繁に取り上げられている。本発表では、NPTの例として、ファン翻訳、クラウドソーシング翻訳を中心に、テクノロジーの発展が翻訳における倫理的課題にどのような影響を及ぼしているかを翻訳者の「自律性」、「信用」、また文化的背景の点から考察する。（日本語での発表）

【タイトル】ISO 17100 Translation Workflow in Your Classroom: Course Design and Ongoing Development

【要旨】
Translation workflows such as the one defined in the ISO 17100 (International Organization for Standardization, 2015) provide a framework for the collaborative production and improvement of a translation irrespective of the language locale, text purpose or domain. When incorporated into the design of a translation course, they can facilitate student development of not only linguistic and metalinguistic but also strategic and interpersonal skills and knowledge which, as the EMT expert group (2009) point out, are fundamental to the field of professional translation. As with any group activity, interpersonal disputes and differences of opinion are inevitable. However, while these differences―henceforth referred to as conflict―are fundamental to both the improvement of a translation and students’ development of strategic and interpersonal skills and knowledge, they can also negatively impact group functioning and performance. In this project-research presentation, I draw on learning from the academic fields of translation, management, and education, and my experience as a translator, translation project manager, and translation educator to propose a method to design a collaborative translation course based on the ISO 17100 translation workflow that includes measures to mitigate negative instances of conflict and enhance group functioning. Then, within the theoretical framework of conflict, to facilitate course development, I propose an exploratory action research approach to identify and categorize instances of conflict and assess their impact on learning.

TPR-DB（ENJA15）を用いた翻訳プロセス研究の暫定分析結果

CRITT TPR-DB（Translation Process Research - Database）は、多言語の翻訳プロセス研究データベースであり、2015年よりMichael Carl氏との共同研究で、英日におけるデータ収集を開始した（ENJA15）。現在までに38人の翻訳者の通常翻訳、ポストエディット、音声入力翻訳の3モードの訳出データ（キーストローク、アイトラッキングを含む）が集まった。本発表では、TPR-DBの概要および（翻訳者の認知負荷に関する）暫定分析結果を示す。

題目：サイトラにおける概念化のステップ
要旨：翻訳で顕在化するのは起点言語と目標言語の表現であるが、同時通訳やサイトラにおいては通翻訳者の脳内のプロセスの一端が顕在化する。その一つは各処理のタイミングである。たとえば、John hit a ball という表現を目にした段階で、訳者が「ジョンがボール」と言ったならば、その段階で訳者の頭の中でhitに関する情報はどうなっているのか。その直後に「ジョンがボールを」と言ったならば、hitを見た段階で、“他動詞”という文法概念を想起していると推定される。同時通訳の場合、John hit a ball という表現の音声はすぐに消えてしまう。サイトラの場合、hit を視野に残しておくことは可能であろう。しかし、だからといって hit という表現そのもの（つまり言語形式）のイメージを残しておくことは処理時間の延長につながる。それではどのような処理をすれば処理時間を短縮できるか。発表では、“概念化”というプロセスを仮定し、サイトラ訳者の概念化のステップについて考える。
　“概念化”を観察することは、セレスコヴィッチの“脱言語化”をより実証的に捉えようとする試みでもある。

発表者2：水野 的（青山学院大学）
題目：順送りの訳・翻訳・訳読
要旨：日本ではサイト・トランスレーションが同時通訳の「順送りの訳」と同一視されることがある。順送りの訳を理論的に扱った研究はほとんどなく、また順送りの訳は通訳者にとっての認知的負荷を回避する方略とだけ考えられているふしがある。しかし、順送りの訳出手法は、英語の語順と逆行する伝統的な訳出方法への反措定として長い歴史があり、翻訳や訳読の方法としても理論的に検討する必要がある。本発表では、順送りの訳が情報構造（旧・新情報、主題－題述、前景と背景、インフラとIdea、結束性、Communicative Dynamism (CD)、情報の重要度と焦点など）と認知的負荷（通訳者[翻訳者]、読者[聞き手]、学習者にとって）の両面から、言語理論的・翻訳理論的に裏付けることができる訳出法であり、かつ言語教育における訳読にも応用可能な方法であることを論じる。

【タイトル】The mechanics of human translation

【発表者】Moritz Schaeffer (University of Mainz, Germany)

【要旨】

The current talk will review existing cognitive models of the translation process by assessing their claims against empirical evidence. In addition, the talk will discuss studies which investigate the effect of translation on behaviour. The emphasis here is on the measures which are used to analyse behaviour. Early studies employed reaction times, while more recent studies employ eye tracking methods. The latter are further divided into those which examine eye movements on longer stretches of text and studies which study the effect on very early eye movement measures. The current talk will also present new evidence which attempts to describe the cognitive and motoric mechanisms underlying translation.

題目：Assessment of interpreting performances by/for undergraduate students: A South Korean case
発表要旨：
In South Korea, translation and interpreting (T&I) has been perceived by many as very useful for advancing their foreign language proficiency and getting access to better job opportunities. This perception motivated some universities and colleges to develop an undergraduate T&I degree program within a pre-existing, related program. Currently, in Seoul alone, there are three such universities: Dongguk University, KyungHee University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). One of the major issues raised by interpreter trainers in the three programs is about how to assess undergraduate students’ performances in a reliable way. To my knowledge, most of the trainers use a holistic/impressionistic rating method for summative assessment. Against this
background, I will introduce my research studies based on the following topics:
-  An overview of the three undergraduate T&I degree programs;
- Undergraduate students’ interpreting self-efficacy;
-  A new analytic scale for assessing undergraduate students’ consecutive interpreting
performances; and
-  Summative peer assessment by undergraduate interpreting students using the rating scale.
